We work with all engineering teams involved in these products, and on all of their code Description Successful candidates will be generalists capable of tackling challenging wide-ranging engineering problems anywhere in the software stack, determining the appropriate compromise between several often competing factors such as ease of use, performance, and of course security. In this role you will: Help define the security properties and architecture for the next-generation operating system Design and implement new techniques to protect users privacy during web browsing, email, and secure messaging sessions Investigate and implement the next evolution in secure protocols Work cooperatively with other parts of Apple on multi-functional technologies and initiatives to improve security Promote and drive the adoption of these technologies across the organization Education & Experience BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience/skills Additional Requirements Preferred Experience: iOS and macOS exposure Experience with TLS, X.509 certificate evaluation, or other secure protocols Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $130,000 and $242,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
