Cashier/Customer Service Representative
Home Depot is hiring for Cashier/Customer Service Representative
Position Purpose:
Cashiers fulfill a crucial role in customer service, ensuring customers receive prompt, friendly, accurate, and secure service. They handle Checkout and/or Return transactions, as well as oversee the Self-Checkout area. Cashiers actively seek product and project knowledge to inform customers and identify sales opportunities, all while following policies and procedures to minimize shrinkage.
Responsibilities:
- Process Checkout and/or Return transactions
- Monitor and maintain the Self-Checkout area
- Actively seek product/project knowledge to inform customers
- Identify sales opportunities
- Follow all policies and procedures to minimize shrinkage
Additional Responsibilities for Head Cashier:
- Position Cashiers and support them by expediting price checks
- Approve Point of Sale transactions and markdowns for mainline registers, Self-Checkout, Returns, Pro Desk, Special Services, and Tool Rental
- Provide first-level escalation for customer issues
- Assist in supervising, coaching, and training other Front End Associates
- Participate in the training of new Cashiers
- Utilize all available tools to coach and develop other Cashiers
