Senior concrete

The Concrete Science Team of Braun Intertec is looking for a Senior Consultant to join our Team. This position will be responsible for managing projects involving concrete products, both routine testing and research and development with an emphasis on sustainable materials.

Additionally, this position will be responsible for laboratory projects in our Bloomington and Chicago Laboratory and will include management of quality systems, laboratory information systems, overhead management, and revenue tracking.

This person will be part of a team focused on providing great service to our clients.

Responsibilities :

• Prepare proposals for laboratory testing projects.



• Author summary reports for testing programs.


• Be actively involved in industry and professional associations.


• Leadership of a technical or project related team


• Oversee Quality and LIM Systems.


• Oversee laboratory projects.


• Develop and execute project scope


• Prepare complex engineering reports giving professional opinions and practical materials solutions


• Perform engineering analysis using company and industry methodologies and standards


• Provide work direction and train junior engineering staff

Required Skills :

• Ability to conduct technical laboratory work.


• Ability to manage and mitigate risk in consulting projects.


• Possess technical aptitude to solve technical issues where solutions are undefined in typical practice.


• Able to interact with clients to help maintain project schedules and deliverables.


• Ability to work within a strong team environment.


• Travel up to 10% of time for projects work technical support


• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Minimum Experience and Education :

• Bachelor's degree in civil or related engineering or materials program required.


• 10 plus years of engineering or materials science related research or consulting services


• Familiar with industry standard such as ACI or ASTM documents and committees

Licensing or Certification requirements :

• Professional Engineer license or ability to obtain.


• Must have a valid driver's license.
