Medical Insurance Claims Specialist

Description If you are a Denials Specialist with experience working in healthcare, Robert Half has a job for you. We're on the search for a candidate who can effectively research and analyze data, as well as understand the revenue cycle process, to take on the role of Denials Specialist for a leading firm. We're looking to fill this short-term contract / contract position, based in Hampton, Virginia region, so feel free to contact us today.
Your responsibilities
- Identify the root cause of the denial and provide denial resolution
- Evaluate bills in which a denial of payment has been collected from the payer
- Prepare for resubmission corrected bills for reimbursement
- Investigate denials using appropriate tactics and follow procedure to resubmit bills for reimbursement Requirements - Strong knowledge of explanation of benefits (EOBs)
- Earlier denials management experience is desired
- Strong customer service and office administrative skills
- Minimum of at least 3+ years of experience within the revenue cycle
- Knowledge of insurance regulations and policies, payment policies/guidelines and the ability to communicate and work with payers to get claims resolved and paid accurately desired
- Knowledge of Eaglesoft
- Comprehensive knowledge of medical claims
- Microsoft Office experience
- Eaglesoft experience
- Customer service experience
