WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

As a Senior Patch and Vulnerability Management Engineer you will play a key role in developing and maintaining for managing the deployment, tracking, and reporting of security patches and updates to Nike systems and applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding on how to identify and assess vulnerabilities and develop remediation plans to ensure the security and stability of Nike’s systems



WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

Daily responsibilities will involve supporting a growing environment, develop and maintain a patch management strategy and program for all Nike systems and applications, monitor vulnerability assessments and work with partner teams to remediate any identified issues, ensure all patches and updates are tested prior to deployment to avoid any negative impact on system performance or availability, and manage patch deployment and coordination with relevant stakeholders. Responsible for following change control procedures to plan, test, and implement changes in coordination with business partners. Work with other multi-functional teams and groups to support projects and initiatives, and to assure knowledge transfer for new systems. Monitor emerging security threats and raise issues to vendors, and provide documentation and knowledge base articles. Overall, a SR PVM Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring Nike’s systems and applications are running smooth, efficient, and without vulnerabilities.



WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

You will work with the Director of Infrastructure Release Engineering. You will join a growing, global team focused on mitigating cyber threats, multi-functional collaboration, and technology innovation. You will work closely with teams across all of Nike Global Technology, Nike business partners, and external vendors. Your partnership with these teams will have impact every Athlete* within the Nike ecosystem.





WHAT YOU BRING


  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Information Technology, Information Security/Assurance, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field of study, or any combination of relevant equivalent experience, education and training

  • Experience in release engineering or related field

  • Strong understanding of software development, deployment processes, and infrastructure configuration

  • Experience with automation tools and CI/CD pipelines, such as Jenkins, CircleCI, or GitLab

  • Proficiency in a scripting language such as Python, Bash, or Java

  • Familiarity with source code management tools such as Git or SVN

  • Excellent problem-solving and solving skills

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

  • Experience with infrastructure as code such as Ansible, Chef, or Puppet is a plus
