Job Summary:

This role involves overseeing integration testing of powertrain systems, coordinating with various teams, and ensuring compliance with aviation standards.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and plan all testing and verification activities for powertrain systems.
  • Support the definition of System Integration Lab test equipment.
  • Coordinate high-level testing in systems integration lab.
  • Manage testing efforts with suppliers.
  • Coordinate aircraft-level testing with the Test and Evaluation team.
  • Oversee and configure powertrain flight testing.
  • Develop test plans for systems integration labs and on-aircraft testing.
  • Compile and present test results, controlling dispositions, and open issues.
  • Coordinate with the Powertrain team and suppliers to make flightworthy recommendations.
  • Evaluate change impact analysis and change requests.
  • Partner with the PMO organization to execute build plans.
  • Requires up to 25% domestic and international travel.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical, electrical, or relevant engineering field required; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in power plant systems testing and verification.
  • Experience in integration, testing, and verification of power plant systems.
  • Strong understanding of aviation standards such as ARP 4754A and DO-178B/C.
  • Familiarity with FAA certification processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of DVP&R and DFMEA.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Highly collaborative with outstanding communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in internal combustion and all-electric power plant systems design.
  • Aviation flight testing experience.
  • Experience with 500-1200 VDC systems.

Salary: The pay range for this position is $166,400 to $232,960 USD, depending on skills, experience, and location.
