Cash Handling Specialist

As an ALDI Cashier or Stocker, you'll be part of a team that collaborates to enhance the shopper's experience. You'll operate machinery and registers, keep product availability high, maintain the store's appearance, and provide excellent customer service.

Position Type: Part-Time

The Standard Allowance: Less Than 30 Hours per Week

The hourly salary for beginners is $18.50

Duties and Responsibilities:

Cashier Responsibilities:

  • Completes consumer purchases, handles overall upkeep duties, replenishes stocks onto shelves, and ensures products are displayed in impressive orderliness
  • The goal is to assist customers in their shopping experience by providing outstanding customer service
  • Ensures that upper management is kept aware of all product matters, such as inventory shortages, scanning errors, and other issues that could impact the store's bottom line
  • Engages in store inventory counts in line with the recommended procedures and keeping watch over inventory precision
  • Adhering to cash policies and procedures is crucial for minimizing the risk of losing money

Stocker Responsibilities:

  • Creating an inviting and welcoming environment by keeping shelves fully stocked with the freshest products and constantly rotating them
  • Pre-established merchandising planograms provide a clear direction for designing top-tier product displays and can greatly enhance customer interest
  • Structurally organizing new products and getting rid of empty boxes by breaking them down is an indispensable duty
  • The primary task at hand is to manage equipment and abide by prescribed safety practices at all times

Physical Demands:

  • Those who work at the store are responsible for fulfilling a wide range of physical duties, from sitting and standing to bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, and walking
  • Stocking Professional: Capability to transfer store items from the receiving unit to the shelves; expertise in arranging products, which may weigh up to 45 pounds, on shelves at varying elevations

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • The preference is for candidates holding a high school diploma or its equivalent
  • Preference will be given to candidates with previous work background in the retail sector
