Special Events Coordinator - Bellagio job at MGM Resorts International. Las Vegas, NV. THE JOB: As a Special Events Coordinator, your role encompasses designing and producing special events for corporate, social, and/or in-house clients, ensuring timely execution, budget adherence, and adherence to company standards. Leveraging your creativity and organizational prowess, you'll craft unforgettable experiences, collaborating closely with clients and vendors to exceed expectations and bring their visions to life. THE DAY-TO-DAY:
- Assist in planning and executing property casino events, including creating event concepts and themes, managing creative processes for invitations and collateral, and collaborating with corporate and property staff on entertainment, dcor, and theme creation
- Under the guidance of the Special Events Manager, you will lead pre-production, production, and post-event activities, overseeing the installation, placement, and removal of event-related items like signage and dcor
- Collaborate with vendors and other MGM properties to coordinate various aspects of events, including entertainment, talent fees, contracts, bids, photography, gifts, dcor, linen, staff uniforms, transportation, and more
- Act as a liaison between Casino Marketing teams, property Special Events teams, and brand marketing and creative services, offering timely feedback to optimize event marketing efforts
- Ensure the marketing portal is kept current by maintaining and updating event details, including criteria, schedule of events, prize structure, and earning criteria
- Possesses prior experience in entertainment, events, or hospitality industries
- Actively seeks opportunities to improve processes and operations, demonstrating a proactive approach in anticipating and addressing needs before they arise
- Collaborate effectively with team members, fostering a positive and cooperative environment to achieve collective goals and deliver exceptional results
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in guest experience or customer service roles
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays, is required for this full-time, event-based role, allowing for the accommodation of the dynamic schedule of our events
