Position Purpose:

The Freight/Receiving department is vital to the store's success, making it necessary to have experienced and knowledgeable workers. They must know how to operate different equipment and perform their duties safely.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload trucks services involve the use of specialized equipment such as lift gates, pallet jacks, and forklifts. The equipment makes it easier for workers to load and unload heavy goods and reduce the risk of injury
• Transport consignment from the receiving point to the store compartment
• Operate a forklift as required
• Maintain precise inventory management and pricing records
• Communicating in a clear, concise, and friendly manner is essential for delivering exceptional customer service

Qualifications:

• Displaying enthusiasm and a genuine interest in helping customers can lead to a more positive experience that will encourage them to return
• Ability to operate forklift machinery (where required)
• Attention to detail
• Skillfulness in a fast-paced work culture
• Previous familiarity with a similar role is highly valued for this position
