Quality Technician, Seats
The Quality technician will evaluate, root
cause and fix seat-related defect escapes in vehicles at various Quality gates
across the factory and provide quick feedback to the Quality and Production
team at 901 Page Seat Assembly to improve quality KPIs.
Perform Daily Vehicle Quality Audits at Quality gates across
the factory to measure and improve Quality KPIsPerform basic root cause and report defect trends to Quality leaders (using both written and verbal communication methods)
Collaborate with Engineering teams to support investigation,
containment, and countermeasure implementationUtilize Quality dashboards to quickly observe defect trends
and support containment activitiesWalk back to point of Defect and quarantine suspect parts
Train Quality inspectors and new quality auditors when
required with boundary revisionsSupport offsite quality containments when required
Support Special Quality projects and dynamic process changes
in day-to-day work as it pertains to Business prioritiesPerform defect trend audits to support development of work
instructions and quality alerts based on Cycle time availability and defect
occurrence ratesQuarantine supplier parts as needed on the assembly line
Ability to interpret seat inspection specifications and
standardized work instructionsAbility to work in a team-based environment with a proactive
mindset to achieve common goalsAbility to understand and determine basic causes for
manufacturing related defectsAbility to perform detailed daily record keeping and reporting
of quality issues that will be referenced by technicians, engineers, and
managementAt least 6 months of experience in an automotive, production
or quality assurance environmentAbility to differentiate between several defect types
MS Suite Skills - Ability to create charts and perform basic
calculations (percentages, sum, average etc.)An understanding of various vehicle parts and Fit & Finish
Quality issuesExperience with measurement and inspection tools (Calipers,
Gap&Flush Gauges, Measuring Tape, etc.)Ability to detect defects (visually/using touch and feel/
using gauges) in a fast-paced environment
