Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary:

Costco Wholesale is currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our team The Pharmacy Technician will assist our licensed pharmacists in providing exceptional customer service and ensuring efficient pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for helping others.

Responsibilities:

• Assist pharmacists in accurately dispensing prescription medications to customers in a timely manner.
• Prepare prescription orders by counting pills, labeling bottles, and packaging medications.
• Process prescription refills and manage medication inventory.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment in compliance with pharmacy standards and regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, resolving issues, and assisting customers with prescription-related questions.
• Collaborate with pharmacy team members to ensure smooth workflow and efficient service delivery.
• Adhere to all pharmacy policies, procedures, and safety standards to uphold regulatory compliance.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance pharmacy knowledge and skills.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Pharmacy Technician program preferred.
• Active Pharmacy Technician license or certification in accordance with state regulations.
• Prior experience working in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication dispensing and record-keeping.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in computer systems and pharmacy software for prescription processing.
• Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and upholding ethical standards.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
