The Opportunity :
Job duties include but are not limited to performing daily billing tasks : Working daily failed bills / claims on all systems including late charges, rebills and any additional billing reports.
Reviews / Updates failed bills & claims within the host system, the billing vendor, EIQ along with any additional system needed to ensure timely billing.
Works daily electronic 277's, resolving claim issue's including RTP's. Works daily late charges & rebills. Bills hardcopy claims attaching any needed documentation for payment.
Pulls EOB's and Medical Records as needed, attaching to claims and mailing. Pulling UB's / Itemized for audits and print / mail hardcopy UB's with any added documents.
Contact patients, insurance, any third party for insurance information or any additional billing data when needed. Floats to work absentee staffing desks.
Assist with monitoring all unbilled accounts within host systems, billing vendors, or any additional systems utilized. Assist with resolving errored claims as needed.
Assist with the creation of SOP's, Policies and flow charts as needed. Assist with new client implementations by assisting with preparation of the clients unbilled reports and unbilled meetings, completion of Best Practice Tracker and playbooks.
Assist with driving results related to but not limited to DNFB and DNFS performance. Provide assistance with driving the management of client KPI's and Ensemble Health Partners Billing key metrics.
Create training documents then trains and tests staff. Remain familiar of all billing changes on state and federal levels for assigned clients, while ensuring team members are also made aware of changes.
Pull and records end of day unbilled volumes and dollars. As a Senior Specialist Billing will be responsible to be cross trained in multiple clients.
They will perform these duties while meeting the mission and goals of Ensemble Health Partners, as well as meeting the regulatory compliance requirements.
Essential Functions :
- Reviews / Updates failed bills & claims on host system and within billing vendor.
- Works daily electronic submissions (or 277's) resolving claim issue's.
- Monitors daily claims errors and resolution providing recommendations on systems fix's going forward.
- Works daily late charges & rebills.
- Bills hardcopy claims attaching any needed documentation for payment.
- Pulls EOB's and Medical Records as needed attaching to claims and mailing.
- Contact patients, insurance, any third party for insurance information or any additional billing data.
- Creates training documents / tests. Train educate staff, providing testing.
- Work absentee staffing desks
Requirements :
- 1 to 3 years relevant job experience
- High School Diploma, GED, or Equivalent Experience with preference for 2 years of an accredited degree or equal experience.
- Must also be CPB Certified.
- Internal candidate must have met 100% productivity and 95 % quality assurance for the prior 3 month period.
- Must have billing experience on multiple payers or a SME on one payer.
- Must demonstrate basic computer knowledge and demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Must pass typing test of 35 words per minute (error adjusted).
- Must be able to provide a mock training session to the interviewer(s).
- Ensemble associate to obtain Certified Revenue Cycle Representative(CRCR) within 9 months of hire.
