Job Summary of Receiving Clerk:
As a UPS Package Delivery Driver, you will be an essential part of our operations, responsible for delivering packages to homes and businesses. You will drive our iconic brown trucks, ensuring that our customers receive their packages promptly and with a smile. Your day will involve delivering boxes of all shapes and sizes, providing excellent customer service, and representing UPS with pride.
Job Duties and Responsibilities of Receiving Clerk:
- Adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations is crucial when operating a UPS delivery vehicle to promote safety and prevent accidents.
- Convey parcels securely from one location to another, ensuring prompt and error-free delivery to various addressees, both residential and commercial.
- Make it a priority to deliver excellent customer service to all customers, ensuring that their experience is always positive.
- The UPS Uniform and Personal Appearance Guidelines are designed to ensure a professional look is maintained and should always be followed.
- Utilize handheld devices to manage delivery routes and increase efficiency, while providing customers with reliable and timely service.
- The company-provided uniform is a prerequisite for all staff members to adhere to the UPS appearance criteria.
- Generally work full shifts, which typically run from 8 to 10 hours per day.
Qualifications and Experience of Receiving Clerk:
- Proficiency in handling items weighing up to 70 pounds.
- Having a Commercial Driver s License (CDL) is not essential to the role, though, a valid driver's license is required. The kind of license required differs depending on the state.
- Pass the mandatory physical examination as per the DOT regulations.
- First-class customer assistance and impressive driving capabilities.
- The ability to work in the U.S. is not only a legal right, but it is also essential for individuals to support themselves and their families.
