Family Law Associate Attorney

A law firm in Algonquin, IL, is seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney to join their team. Duties:

• Manage a diverse caseload involving divorce, child custody, support modifications, paternity, and other family law matters.
• Draft, review, and file legal documents while adhering to tight deadlines.
• Provide legal counseling to clients through meticulous case preparation and effective client communication.
• Negotiate and mediate on behalf of clients to resolve disputes and achieve favorable outcomes.
• Represent clients in court proceedings, effectively advocating for their rights and interests.
• Collaborate with paralegals, legal assistants, and other attorneys to ensure seamless case management.
• Stay informed of new developments and changes in family law to enhance service quality and compliance.

Requirements:

• Must possess a Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
• Must hold a current bar license in good standing in Illinois.
• A minimum of 3 years of direct family law experience or 5+ years of substantial life experience demonstrating significant empathetic skills.
• Proven track record of handling family law cases with sensitivity and a client-centered approach.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal communication skills.

Education:

• Juris Doctorate from an accredited institution.

Certifications:

• Active bar license in Illinois in good standing.
