We are currently seeking dedicated and detail-oriented Pharma Techs to join our team at Walmart. As a Pharma Tech, you will play a vital role in assisting pharmacists and pharmacy technicians with various tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the pharmacy department. Responsibilities:

1. Prescription Processing: Assist in processing prescription orders by accurately entering patient information, medication details, and insurance information into the pharmacy system. Ensure that all prescriptions are processed promptly and efficiently.

2. Medication Dispensing: Prepare and dispense medications under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician. Ensure that medications are dispensed accurately and in accordance with pharmacy policies and procedures.

3. Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management tasks, including receiving, stocking, and rotating medication inventory. Monitor inventory levels and assist with placing orders for medication replenishment as needed.

4. Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to pharmacy customers by answering inquiries, addressing concerns, and assisting with prescription pickup and drop-off. Maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor at all times.

5. Medication Packaging: Assist in packaging and labeling medications, including unit-dose packaging and blister packaging. Ensure that all medications are packaged securely and labeled correctly with appropriate patient information and instructions.

6. Pharmacy Operations: Assist with various pharmacy operations tasks, such as maintaining cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy area, restocking supplies, and performing routine maintenance on pharmacy equipment.

7. Compliance: Adhere to all pharmacy policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance with state and federal laws. Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.

Requirements:

1. High School Diploma: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.

2. Pharmacy Technician Certification: Preferred but not required. Willingness to obtain pharmacy technician certification within a specified timeframe.

3. Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and accuracy in performing tasks such as prescription processing, medication dispensing, and inventory management.

4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.

5. Computer Skills: Basic computer skills and familiarity with pharmacy software systems.
