Description
The Game Center Frameworks team delivers the GameKit framework for all Apple platforms. Every Apple Arcade game, as well as many other games in the App Store, integrate with Game Center for a variety of services including identity, achievements, leaderboards, friends, matchmaking, multiplayer networking, and more. We also partner with teams across Apple to bring core functionality like graphics, audio, controller input, haptic feedback, and system integrations to popular game engines, such as Unity. As a senior game developer experience engineer on the Game Center Frameworks team, your responsibilities will include: * Maintaining Apple's open source Unity plugin. * Collaborating with teams across Apple to improve their APIs for game developers. * Expanding access to Apple APIs to new game engines and programming environments. * Supporting third-party game developers to build the best possible games. * Represent a voice of game developers within the Game Center team. * Designing and implementing new Game Center Framework functionality.
Education & Experience
BSCs or equivalent
Additional Requirements
- Desired experience:
- Unity Engine plugin development
- C# and Microsoft Common Language Runtime (or Mono)
- PRIOR EXPERIENCES THAT ARE A PLUS FOR THIS ROLE:
- Swift, Objective-C, or other Apple platform toolkits
- Unreal Engine, especially plugin development
- Client/server networking applications
Pay & Benefits
- At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $115,000 and $217,500, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple's discretionary employee stock programs.
