Duties and Responsibilities:

Candidates must:

  • Follow the principles of conduct that are expected of you within your profession.
  • The path to obtaining Top Secret Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance entails a demanding vetting process, which includes an in-depth investigation of an individual's history, credit analysis, and a polygraph assessment.
  • Satisfy the physical fitness prerequisites; demonstrate a robust physical competency to seamlessly execute the training at the FBI Academy in Quantico, VA, and sustain an excellent fitness standard throughout your tenure.
  • Meet the necessary standards for both vision and hearing during the medical examination in order to pass.
  • In order to become a Special Agent, it is required to undergo about 19 weeks of training as a trainee at the FBI Academy located in Quantico.
  • Graduates of the FBI Academy are expected to transfer to one of the FBI's 56 Field Offices, regardless of location. These offices may be spread across the United States, including in San Juan, Puerto Rico, and some may be in remote areas.
  • Be prepared to take on temporary duty assignments in any corner of the world, whether they are of short or long-term nature, throughout your working life.
  • A minimum of 50 hours of work per week is anticipated, which could involve unpredictable schedules and the obligation to be on-call 24/7, even during weekends and public holidays.
  • Display the ability and resolve to take part in detentions, execute legal searches, perform assaults, and other related missions.

Furthermore, the completion of the Special Agent Selection System (SASS) is a vital requirement for all individuals interested in becoming Special Agents. The selection process is a rigorous process designed to evaluate the individual's mental and physical abilities to ensure compatibility with the demanding nature of the profession. The average duration of the selection process is at least a year.

You must:

  • Fulfill the stipulations for US citizenship.
  • The requirement for this job opening is for the applicant to have an age bracket of 23 years and below 37 years at the time of employment.
  • Meet the necessary expectations to obtain a Top Secret SCI Clearance.
  • To qualify, candidates are required to possess four years of full-time professional work experience (please refer to the work experience waiver for any unique circumstances).
  • It is imperative to meet the employment requisites of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
  • The minimum requirement for this position is a valid driver's license together with 6 months of driving experience.

Education Qualifications:

  • Applicants must hold a bachelor's degree at a minimum, ideally with a focus in Accounting or a related discipline like Business Administration, Finance, or Forensic Accounting.
