As the Sr. Compensation Analyst, you will have the opportunity to support the administration and evolution of our US and International compensation programs and philosophy, as well as our compensation software solutions, while continuing to grow and develop your career in Compensation. This role will work closely with all members of People Team, including People Partners, Talent Acquisition, People Operations, and the Director of Total Rewards.


In this role, you will:



  • Analyze and help structure efficient and effective compensation programs for our global organization

  • Coach and advise P&C and People Partners on compensation programs

  • Support the semi-annual performance review and compensation cycles through Workday requirements definition, data analysis, reporting, troubleshooting, and the development of communications

  • Develop a deep understanding of the OpenTable | KAYAK organizational structure and jobs to inform accurate, rigorous market pricing, the crux of our pay review process

  • Develop compensation reports and tools to inform compensation program decisions, and to forecast and analyze compensation outcomes

  • Administer and evolve our market pricing tools and benchmarking methodology

  • Liaise with People Operations/HRIS & Internal Systems teams to identify and implement data sharing opportunities

  • Identify opportunities to improve the accuracy and efficiency of core compensation business processes

  • Champion and embody the KAYAK and OpenTable culture, mission and values


Please apply if:



  • You have a B.A./B.S. with 3 – 5 years of experience as a Compensation Analyst (or equivalent, such as Financial Planning), either “in-house” or as a consultant

  • Experience or education with APIs, SQL queries and HRIS preferred

  • You have solid analytical and technical skills

  • You are knowledgeable and passionate about market pricing, preferably with experience in high-technology/internet environments.

  • You have an advanced level of experience in Excel, including macros and VBA

  • You have a growth mindset – you think about how to work smarter, and take on the next challenge

  • You pay attention to detail and deliver high-quality, error-free work products

  • You can balance competing priorities in a dynamic environment with a strong sense of urgency to drive projects to completion

  • You can think creatively through ambiguity and are flexible and adaptable to change

  • You have excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills to communicate and explain compensation fundamentals

  • You thrive working in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing business needs

  • You're highly self-motivated, have a stellar work ethic and you're looking for the right company to support your growth

  • You have experience with Workday’s advanced compensation functionality

There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. In addition to a competitive base salary, roles are eligible to be considered for an annual bonus. The range for New York City is $100,000 -$130,000.
