**Requirements**

* Board certified/eligible
* New Mexico License (no IMLC)
* New Mexico controlled substance license and DEA
* ACLS, ATLS, BLS
* Clean History

**Call Details**

* Call Type: Beeper
* Less than 30 minute response time required
* 1-15 phone consults
* 3-5 patients seen
* 1-2 admissions per day

**Skills Required**

* General Surgery - adult, pediatric, and trauma
* Laparoscopic Surgery - Appendectomy, Cholecystectomy, and Hernioplasty
* Chest wall/pleural procedures
* GI endoscopy - upper and lower (sigmoidoscopy and colonoscopy)
* Chest tube insertion
* Central line insertion
* PA Catheter placement
* Vascular access devices
* Artesias - Intestinal and Biliary
* Abdominal wall defects
* Umbilical defects - hernia
* Diaphragmatic hernia
* Imperforate anus
* PDA ligation
