responsibilities:
- Plan, conduct, and coordinate packaging process engineering functions.
- Oversee all aspects of packaging equipment from primary through secondary packaging.
- Handle process unit operations for the production of wet and dry pet foods, pet treats, and cat litter.
- Provide expert knowledge on food processing technology, including production systems, quality/sanitation, and equipment design/application.
- Offer packaging engineering process design and review for capital projects, including detailed engineering work phases, related documentation, and field support.
- Coordinate work by outside consultants and suppliers, leveraging broad knowledge of packaging standards, principles, and practices.
- Support divisional continuous improvement efforts, offering technical assistance to operating facilities.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
- At least 5 years of packaging equipment engineering experience in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment.
