Summary:


SPACE Camp Suzuki Teacher will teach small group violin lessons to elementary-aged campers. Flexible hours of work are 8:45 am -1:00 pm or 8:45 - 3:45 pm, with a half-hour lunch break. Teacher is responsible for creating lessons that are fun and engaging for campers.


Qualifications:



  • Experience in a classroom setting

  • Suzuki/violin teaching experience

  • Teaching degree/certification strongly desired




Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities (Not Limited To):



  • Responsible for students ages 5-10

  • Teach and support students in specific courses they are teaching

  • Create and implement curriculum related to course subject or theme

  • Coordinate and collaborate with special education staff to support students with disabilities

  • Consistent, reliable and punctual attendance is essential for supervision and instruction of the students

  • Responsible for implementing "other job-related duties" as needed

  • Work is performed in a school/classroom environment, as well as outdoors. The noise level in the environment is usually moderate.
