Job Summary of Customer Service Clerk:

As a Customer Service Clerk, maintaining the store's appearance by stocking, merchandising, cashiering, and cleaning is critical. Working with the ALDI team to improve the shopping experience and provide high-quality customer service can help to achieve this goal.

Duties and Responsibilities of Customer Service Clerk:

• Fulfilling responsibilities, even without reasonable adjustments, is expected.
• Display unwavering adherence to the Mindsets, ALDI Acts Competencies, and Professional Skills (M.A.P.) that are a prerequisite for this role.
• Manages consumer purchases, performs customary cleaning tasks, arranges stock in an orderly manner,and presents merchandises neatly
• Providing customers with exceptional assistance during their shopping experience is paramount to achieving customer satisfaction
• When working as a team, it is essential to communicate openly and build trust amongst one another. This will lead to increased productivity and a positive work environment
• Regular feedback for management on products, inventory losses, scanning errors, and general issues fosters a culture of continuous improvement within an organization. It signals to employees that management is open to feedback and willing to make changes and improvements based on that feedback
• Conduct regular inventory counts and observe inventory accuracy in accordance with the rules
• Conforming to the cash policies and procedures laid out reduces the chance of financial harm
• Faithfully follows the company's policies and procedures, emphasizing the importance of maintaining the security and privacy of all documents and data
• Additional tasks allocated as necessary

Physical Demands of Customer Service Clerk:

• Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry and walk about the store
• Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation

Qualifications of Customer Service Clerk:

• Ability to safely and properly operate equipment, including electric/manual hand jack, floor scrubber, and cardboard baler
• Ability to perform general cleaning duties to company standards
• Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
• Ability to stay organized, give attention to detail, follow instructions and multi-task in a professional and efficient manner
• Meet any state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages
• You must be 18 years of age or older to be employed for this role at ALDI
• Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service
• Ability to operate a cash register efficiently and accurately

Education and Experience of Customer Service Clerk:

• A high school diploma or a similar certification is strongly recommended for the vacancy
• Previous work experience in retail is strongly recommended
