Support Service Centre
Fedex is hiring for Support Service Centre
Starting Rate of Pay: $19.51 / hour
Shift Start Time: 3:00pm
Shift End Time: 9:00pm
Responsible for handling customer needs, processing freight documentation, and performing administrative and customer service duties at the service center.
Essential Job Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Perform administrative/clerical functions (e.g., file maintenance, copying, answering phones).
2. Verify and complete required documentation and reports.
3. Provide accurate information and assistance to customers.
4. Enter freight shipment information into the computer system.
5. Administer freight pick-up process.
6. Assist customers via phone, email, and fax.
7. Make freight delivery appointments.
8. Review drivers' Hours-of-Service logs for accuracy.
9. Assist with city operations (e.g., checking in drivers, coordinating drop-offs).
10. Communicate with sales, operations, and other departments.
11. Reconcile cash and checks collected, prepare deposits.
12. Comply with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
13. Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Two years general office experience preferred.
- One year customer service experience preferred.
- Previous transportation experience preferred.
- Strong phone and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to count and perform basic math.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to use general office equipment.
- Typing/data entry skills.
- Ten-key skills preferred.
- PC experience with the ability to learn required computer systems/programs.
- Demonstrated time management, organizational, and multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information.
- Ability to follow instructions and complete required training.
- Ability to work independently and/or as a team member.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.
Working Conditions:
- Office/dock environment.
- Fast-paced; deadline oriented.
