As a Collision Tools and Equipment Specialist, you will have a personal stake in the tooling and equipment program operations, related services and ongoing support for internal and external collision centers at Tesla. You will be part of a fast-moving team that is responsible for ensuring all internal and 3rd party Tesla collision repair technicians have the tools they need to repair all Tesla models back to OEM specifications. This person is key contributor on the field support and will work with a wide variety of internal cross-functional teams and strategic suppliers. This position requires someone that is flexible, great at solving problems and excellent at building relationships.


Maintain tooling bill of material portfolio used to equip Tesla Body Shops and Tesla Approved Body Shops



  • Track vendor performance using analytical processes and reporting (vendor scorecard, KPIs, etc.)

  • Build relationships and partner with cross-functional stakeholders across the collision organization and Company

  • Manage new vehicle tooling and equipment request for proposals (RFPs) and manage timelines to meet vehicle launch

  • Use Tesla project management tools to track project timelines and report relevant equipment and tooling program information to the right audience inside and outside the organization

  • Continuously improve team processes for delivering projects


5 years of collision industry experience a plus



  • Ability to effectively communicate with external partners

  • High degree of organizational skills while managing the details of many projects, simultaneously

  • Willingness to learn

  • Excellent inter-department coordination and resource allocation

  • High proficiency in written and spoken English

  • Able to utilize and learn computer applications quickly

  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality

  • Ability to work independently in limited supervision environment

  • Ability to travel nationally and internally to support program needs

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
