• Be adept at utilizing the Point of Sale system to handle multiple tenders, intricate loyalty programs, rain checks, coupons, and checkout procedures as stipulated by the company.
• To record the sale of goods, pass them over the scanning window, employ a handheld scanner, or input the details utilizing the 10-key pad when necessary.
• Gain knowledge about how the company handles its money and strictly adhere to these procedures to ensure loss prevention and honesty.
• Comprehend and follow the regulations pertaining to products that are prohibited for sale, like Tobacco, Alcohol, Fireworks, and Videos.
• To minimize shrink, adhere to standard practices such as inspecting the bottom of the basket, scanning every item for accurate inventory tracking, avoiding manual transactions, and following established closing procedures.
• Ensuring timely completion of transactions to achieve productivity objectives.
• As per the company's rules, inform the designated authority if there are any irregularities in pricing.
• Stay in the know about the latest, upcoming, seasonal, and special offers.

• Customers should be informed about all the company directives, including Kroger Personal Finance, fundraising requests, fuel points, and customer service surveys, so make sure to offer that information.
• Keeping the checkout area from becoming a mess involves the regular wiping down of all surfaces to maintain their cleanliness.
• Fortify safety programs by strictly following safety procedures and identifying and reporting any unsafe conditions, and promptly notifying store management of such hazards.
• Make sure the management is aware of accidents that occur with customers or employees.
• Prompt reporting of safety threats and illicit behavior like robbery, theft or fraud, can help prevent serious consequences.
• Stay in accordance with company policies and guidelines, as well as comply with the local, state, and federal laws that have been established.
• To maintain a well-organized work environment, it is crucial to follow the various regulations concerning merchandise display, customer service, cash handling, labor management, supply chain management, loss prevention, maintenance, safety, food safety, associate behavior, and customer engagement.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM

• Checker training accomplished with proficiency
• The capacity to handle stressors effectively without experiencing adverse effects is a crucial attribute
• Effective communication skills
• Math is a universal language, and proficiency in counting, adding, and subtracting can facilitate communication and understanding in diverse settings
• Physical fitness is a must when it comes to this job
