About the team; This team is entrusted with the managing the decommissioning and shutdown of a legacy on-prem datacenter system as we evolve our Tech Stack.

About the role: This position serves as a subject matter expert for a specific team of Software Engineers. In addition to writing code on complex systems and applications, this position provides direction on project plans, schedules, and methodologies. The position has direct reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating internal projects and includes technical development responsibilities. Position will involve complex management oversight.
  • Managing the decommissioning and shutdown of a legacy on-prem datacenter system.
  • Overseeing the Engineering on-call support program, including engineering training and documentation improvements.
  • Driving development responsibilities as assigned within an Azure cloud technology stack for a Kubernetes, Docker, MySQL, Java based system.
  • Managing coordination will be needed in several areas such as: - Infosec report and customer audit support and Agile/Kanban tracking of system releases

Requirements:
Possess advanced knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall).
Have experience with various resource models such as Managed Services and/or Staff Augmentation.
Demonstrate knowledge in industry best practices in external resource development.
Possess the ability to partner and lead internal and external technology resources in solving complex business needs.
Experience with development languages including but not limited to: Java/J2EE, JavaScript, JSP,
